April Member(s) of the Month
We want to congratulate Iris and Martha for being this months member of the month. We decided to have them as our members of the month because of the amount of hard work, dedication, and commitment to having a willingness to learn and grow both in the facility, and out. They both showed a tremendous amount of mental toughness while starting out. They knew it was not going to be easy but they stuck to the process and now they are getting the well-earned results they wanted. Awesome job and keep up the great work.
Throughout your lifetime, how long have you been working out for and what do you enjoy most about fitness?
Martha: I have been physically active in working out and am somewhat consistent in running. I enjoy the rotation of the exercise and enjoy working out in groups.
Iris:I've always tried to stay active throughout my lifetime and have worked out off and on. What I enjoy most is how I feel after the workouts and how my strength and flexibility have increased.
Since training at K.Shan Performance, what have you learned the most about fitness as well as about yourself?
Martha:I have learned a great deal more about proper posture, which is a must while doing any exercise, particularly while performing sets and weightlifting. I always challenge myself and believe in I finishing strong!
Iris: I've learned fitness takes time and commitment and will get you the results you want to see. I've also learned that it can be fun. About myself, that I am stronger than what I thought.
What do you like most about the workouts? And what is your favorite exercise?
Martha:I like the fact that Kyle explains step by step every exercise and the benefit of each one. Also Kyle will let us know when the posture is not correct. I must say that I truly enjoy all of the exercise; I push myself to the max. And you should know that Planks is one of my favorite exercises.
Iris: I like how every exercise is different and that Kyle always makes sure you are doing the exercises correctly and using proper form. My favorite exercise is the sled push.
What would you recommend to someone looking to start training?
Martha: To be open to fresh opportunities that challenge the way one may have felt about one’s perception of health, body, mind and spirit. It has for me. I don’t finish first, nor last, but I do finish strong – so can you!
Iris: I would recommend anyone to start and not to be intimidated, you will feel so much better both physically and emotionally.
